Sales Representative
Job Description


The Sales Representative is responsible for selling and marketing the food product to companies for distribution purposes.  The main responsibility is to visit companies, deliver sales pitches, and take sales orders.


  • Sell food to wholesale businesses and retail.

  • Sell food for the purpose of re-distribution and to get the food into the market.

  • Manage and develop new customers.

  • Maintain existing sales within assigned customers.

  • Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly.

  • Review daily and monthly sales reports with management.

  • Coordinate sales with management to ensure demand is met.

  • Communicate trends/pricing issues and other unique issues related to sales.

  • Develop new markets and accounts by utilizing current relationships and building new relationships.

  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.

  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of products.

  • Analyze territory and monitor performance results, daily call reports, and weekly work plans.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, marketing, economics, or related field.

  • Experienced in sales.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.

  • superb selling, and negotiation skills.

  • Prioritizes time management and organizational skills.

  • Highly motivated and target driven.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understands sales processes and dynamics.

  • Able to create and deliver sales pitches and presentations tailored to the audience.
