Production Line Operator
Job Description

Summary

The Production Line Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in the facility.  The main responsibility is to run assembly lines, check products, and ensure machinery is running smoothly during production.

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean equipment and machinery during shifts.

• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.

• Ensure workstations are clean and free of hazardous materials and pathogens.

• Clean and sanitize factory floors.

• Assemble food products by hand.

• Observe and remove faulty products from the line.

• Affix labels to products.

• Pack and prepares products for shipment.

• Unload, organize, and stock shipments.

• Adhere to all safety guidelines during production.

• Reports issues and problems with production to immediate supervisor. 

Requirements​

• Completion of high school diploma or GED program.

• Ability to follow all appropriate safety standards in food production

• Knowledge of basic math and reading comprehension skills

• Have physical strength and stamina to endure standing, walking, and lifting for long periods of time.

• Ability to lift heavy objects and weights.

• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues on the spot.
