Summary

The Logistic Analyst is responsible for ensuring that products and materials coming in and out are as cost-effective, productive, and efficient as possible.  You may analyze and help manage product deliveries, supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes.  You will monitor inventory levels, analyze logistics data, and optimize shipment routes to reduce costs & ensure timely deliveries. Assess risks, implement corrective actions, and work with teams to improve processes, aiming for efficient and seamless supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing logistics data to assess each step in the supply chain

• Keeping tabs on the product flow process from materials acquisition to final delivery

• Updating databases with logistics data

• Developing, evaluating and revising logistics policies, procedures and plans

• Overseeing warehouses to ensure that products are received, stored and shipped safely and efficiently

• Researching supply chain issues to identify potential problems and preemptively address them

• Staying up to date on the latest innovations in logistics and what competitors are implementing

• Addressing routine and unexpected disruptions in the supply chain to keep products moving

Requirements​

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Analytics, Business Admin, Marketing, or Logistic Analytics field.

• At least 6 months of experience as a Market Researcher, Marketing Analyst, Business Analyst, or Logistics Analyst.

• In-depth knowledge of distribution and shipping methods

• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and metrics

• Problem-solving skills to take quick and decisive action when the supply chain breaks down

• Effective oral communication skills to collaborate with Warehouse Managers, carriers and suppliers

• Demonstrated written communication skills to compile reports and write policies and procedures

• Familiarity with logistics tracking software, spreadsheets, word processors and email

• Ability to think outside the box when spotting opportunities for improvement

• Multitasking skills to quickly switch from one task to another when required
